I love the beans and rice π?
A great Mexican find in the neighborhood! We ordered the numero tres which was more than enough for two hungry people. We upgraded two tacos to tongue and carne asada ribeye. The star of the show was by far the carne asada deliciously served with a grilled green onion, on par with some of our favorites in Mexico. My wife enjoyed the chorizo taco but it was too heavy on pork flavor for me. The guacamole was solid and the jalapeno slaw was great and spicy, too! The rice and beans were great as well. We chose the shrimp flauta which was a nice combo of shrimp and cheese. The burrito was the weakest link, mostly beans and not much meat. Minus star for no free chips and salsa (which was heavy on the lime, almost like ceviche without the fish).
MoreService was awesome! Waitress was attentive, but the food was just okay. Pretty basic Tex mex food. Wanna be adventurous? Try the cow tongue for something different and fun.
MoreGreat food and family owned. We go so much, we've become part of the family! Definitely recommend going if you're from out of state.
MoreBest tacos I've had all year. The salsas they provide are top notch. Homemade chorizo. Just stop reading and eat here.
MoreFish tacos are amazing the blackened one and the fried
Very good service Nice music the lights look cool I like the pinyatasπ
They literally have the BEST FISH TACOS!! I only had them once and I was High as a Kite at Jazz Fest in 2018! I still dream about the taste and texture I felt. Lol, I finally found them again so they will be seeing me real soon.
MoreExcellent food in a fun setting!
Black Bean Chili Dip was awesome! Plenty enough to share or a meal for 1.
Decent across the board.
Great tacos and different types of sauces. Oh, and make sure you use the βThroneβ
MoreGreat food. Local, authentic.
This place is operated by my good friend Mundo is an excellent place to eat.
Awesome neighborhood restaurant that's been family run for ages. The food is very fresh and cooked to order. Delicious fish tacos and ribeye tacos too. Pico de gallo, guacamole & thin, fresh chips were all delicious. They offer a unique choice that we had to try, the Mexican Pizzz: a burrito wrapper topped with salsa verse, thin sliced ham, queso blanco & a bit more. The taste & flavors were awesome.
MoreBest steak tacos I've ever had!
Great food....great people!!!!
Best fish tacos in the city! Simple food with friendly service. They also have delicious hot sauces/salsas in a caddie.
MoreStill great after 30 years!
I have eaten here on and off for a while. Didn't know what I was missing when I ordered the fish tacos. Wow! They really have some of the best fish tacos around. Also love their burritos, quesadillas, and giant margaritas
MoreLove this place! Especially love the brunch on the weekends. For $12 the carne asado tostada can't be beat. Plus delicious margaritas!
MoreStopped in to pick up tacos for a delivery and had to come back because my car smelled like slow cooked meat for 3 hours afterwards. Very delicious and your staff was perfect. Friendly and very professional! Parking was a bit challenging but a half block over is the free open lot at the intersection that ended up working out perfectly.
MoreCasual, great fresh food, super sweet waitress!!!
We always enjoy our meal. Great neighborhood restaurant. I love the ceviche!
Always great.
Blackened fish tacos are one of the best on the menu.
We absolutely love this place. The taco pizza is the bomb as well as the Flautas!!
MoreReasonably priced food.
Always have good fresh food with friendly and prompt service.
Great food, excellent service. Bathrooms are tiny and extremely cramped but very clean.
MoreAwesome fish taco, burrito as big as the plate, good Mexican food. Will definitely be back.
MoreGigantic burritos! Just huge! Loved it!
Fresh taco bar. Old school style.
Great food and atmosphere! WARNING, LOOK AT THE PRICES OF THE QUESO DIP! $8 for a tiny cup, NOT WORTH IT. A nice restaurant though!
MoreGreat tacos and a pretty solid wet burrito, I would recommend the steak or tongue. My girlfriend really likes the gazpacho too. Good local Mexican sit down. A little bit on the pricey side but great service even when they're crowded. Great chips too.
MoreGood food that would satisfy anyone's taste for Mexican cuisine.
Our go to spot for lunch, the staff couldn't be friendlier and the food is consistent. Ceviche Friday is my favorite, but don't skip the blackened shrimp tacos or the fish tacos - both are so well done.
MoreBest fish taco in town, period. Also true carne asada taco. Outstanding.
Love the service and food
A lot of the food is soggy with too much ground beef
One of my favorite restaurants.
Food was nice. Clean well staffed restaurant. Totally go there again
Best Mexican food I have had in years! I'm from southern CA, and now living in Texas, where many Mexican restaurants have been so disappointing and bad...and I am Mexican. This place is place I would go back to on my next visit to New Orleans.
MoreBest fish tacos I've ever tasted! The shrimp flaunts are awesome too. The service is friendly and fast.
MoreMy college friends had a great time here on our trip to NOLA. It was clean, fun, the prices were excellent. Cold, cold beer. Very positive experience.
MoreAbsolutely delish!! Best guac. ever
Food was fantastic. There were 2 large groups in the dining area which always has the potential to throw things off but the kitchen rolled and the waitstaff did a fantastic job.
MoreEvidently a favorite for families, for I saw many children present. I got the fish taco and a shrimp taco which were really tasty but the shrimp taco could have used some cabbage and that special sauce on the fish taco as well. The place looked like it could use a good scrubbing down and painting and the table was sticky but Axel took care of it real quickly. Axel is a great server and was very attentive. They charge for chips and salsa which is kind of disappointing but I guess it's a trend we are seeing these days.
MoreAmazing fish tacos. Cozy atmosphere and fast service.
This location has been open for a while the staff is friendly food has not changed much. It's nice and cozy they used a little creativity around in the bathroom they actually have a "throne " they keep up in other words they keep everything clean I like their chorizo burrito I tried the California size, its huge or shareable I made the mistake of trying to finish it by myself and I almost fell asleep afterwards but it was good. They take a break between lunch and dinner times.
MoreGood food (though I wish they had more vegetarian options). Reasonably priced. The sangria was so-so. Seating is too crowded.
